Dursley and District are affiated to Triathlon England, giving members entry into a wide ranges of races across the Country ata reduced rate. Ray Williams had to put in a pb to stay in front of Mark Waller who had been ill all week and still posted a great time for his 1st triathlon
Fred Yearsley put in a great bike time again and is hot on Rays tail with the half ironman coming up on 17/09/10.As you can see from Chris's
t1 time he must get a new wet suit, one his size and not one 3sizes to small but for his 1st tri still a great result
A total of 483 particpants took part in the sprint distance which involves a750m swim, a 20k cycle and a 5k run to finish

 Four of our athletes took on the New Forest Half Ironman on the 19th of September, which consists of a 1.2mile open water swim, 56mile undulating cycle & a13.1 mile multi terrain hilly run. This is what is known as a midlle distance Ironman.

 

 

In between the last two club handicap Handicap events the 1st Bristol City triathlon took place on 22nd August. Ray Williams & Andy Kilby from the club joined an other 145 competitors. The race involved a 750 meter swim around Cumberland Basin before leaping to to the bike for a 22 Kilometer time trial finishing with a 5K run. Ray Williams finishing 62nd and Andy Kilby 89th.
