Four of Dursley running club triathletes took to the cold waters at Cotswold Water Park on  Sunday the 06th of May for the Cotswold Super Sprint Tri. The race consists of a 400mts open water swim 20k cycle and a 5k run around the lake. Spring not really having sprung as yet, the water temperatures were challenging with the water temp at 12 degrees, the chill factor 3 degrees.

Sunday the 6th Jan of January saw the first of four aquathlons put on by Tewkesbury Tri Club for the 2013 series. The races consist of 20 lengths of a 20metre pool (400ms) then into transition for a 5k off road run. For some reason Ray Williams was the only Dursley Running Club Triathlete to brave the waters of both the pool and the fields, no doubt Jerry and Fred where up at the lakes lake getting some secret training in!

Five Dursley athletes took part in the Tewkesbury Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 14/8/11, the vent comprising of a 750 mt open water swim 25k cycle and a 5k run.

The Cotswold Tri took place on Sunday the 4th of September. The event comprised of a 750m open water swim 20k cycle and a  5k run. Garry Hughes was 1st home for the club and just missed 1st place overall by 3 seconds , beaten by an Australian, Garry was a bit miffed the Aussie couldn't find any races closer to home.

Saturday the 23th July 2011 saw Tony Wooldridge dip his toe in the world of Triathlon in the Cheltenham Off Road Super Sprint Triathlon. He was rewarded with a second place in his age category and came in 71st overall. Tony had been putting in some pool time to make up for his lead like runners legs, despite this hard work Tony had a bit to make up on the leaders after emerging from the pool, he followed his swim with a steady bike ride leaving his best til last posting the 13th quickest time in the run.
