In love … and running

The Verona marathon website states ‘Verona and running. A marriage that continues, grows and brings more and more’ and what could be more true for newly-wed Dursley Running Club members Gareth and Sarah Bradbury, who ran the marathon on 5 October, kicking off their honeymoon.

Batman and Robin Hood

After years of missing out the Running Club’s London Marathon Ballot, Dave Halford decided to head for Nottingham and the Robin Hood Marathon.

 

The Severn Bridge Half Marathon on 24 August was greeted enthusiastically by the running community, many of whom relished the chance to run across the Severn. Seven Dursley runners were among the starters at Chepstow: Jon Tudor, Kevin Jackson, Brad Johnson, Alice Lewis and Mouse Clutterbuck running under their own names, and Kate Browning and Kevin Proctor running under aliases.

Seven Dursley Running Club lined up for Cheltenham Half Marathon on a sunny autumnal day. While the weather may have been pleasant for spectators, the sun warmed the runners up, making it a day to run wisely.

Race for Life 2014

Paul Rogers completed the Race for Life 10K at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent on the weekend of 12/13 July, supporting – with many others - the charity Cancer Research.
