Whilst others were lazing around in the sun Dave Halford  and John Spicer braved the -3C conditions to run the pretty hilly Cotswold 10k in Temple Guiting. The pretty does refer to the picturesque landscape. With 70 entrants Dave Halford was well into the top thirty even if not his fastest time of the season.

Dursley runners make club proud in 2013 Road Race Series

This year’s Gloucestershire AAA Road Race Series has come to a conclusion. Despite being one of the smaller clubs competing in the series, Dursley ran riot across all the age categories, with the women doing particularly well individually and in the team events.

Rebecca Topham posted a very respectable 03:28:54 in the Marathon Alpes Maritimes finishing in 2004th place. Her partner on the jet setting jaunt Laura Price finished in 04:22.01.

Chris Gaze rounded off a good Weston Prom Series on the 19th of May coming 20th in a time of 29:41. Kevin Jackson joined him

coming 44th 31:42. Chris had a very consistent series, always in the the top 30 runners and his times since January have all been very very even.

Cirencester 10K

Sunday 28 September saw Dursley Runners far and wide. Close to home there was an impressive turn out at the Cirencester Park 10K with a few of the 2014 cadre testing themselves over 10K on what is a challenging course with a series of significant rises, the one up to the polo fields being a fully fledged climb.
