Gloucester Haresfield 5K took place on Wednesday evening in very hot & humid conditions. It turned out to be a very successful event for DRC runners with 5 medals awarded as part of the Glos AAA series including three Golds, and everyone picking up points in their age categories. Mike Brown’s improvement continues and he ran an impressive 19:33, putting hi well on the way to a sub 19 in the coming months. AS ever Dursley veterans impressed with Dave Saunders, Soos Moss and Eileen Hieron picking up gold medal on the night.

Damian Lai, Rach Goatman-Thomas’ faithful running partner, took himself off on his own to complete the Worcester Marathon.

Eight Dursley Running Club athletes ran the London Marathon on Sunday 24 April 2016: Graeme Hawkins, Andy Hara, Dave Halford, Peter Woodward, Nathalie Langley, Neil Malpass, Rich Shirley, Laura Gaby and Rachael Goatman-Thomas. At the Southampton Half Marathon Janet Mathews ran her second PB of the year, 01:52:32, with Deb Peake completing her first half in the same time.
