Cotswold Way relay

Saturday 28 June: the club is starting to organise teams for this year's event. If you are interested please speak to Dave Durden or RSVP by e-mail (much better option as he then will not forget!). Let him know any preference for a start time or leg. If not sure and fancy being a reserve again let him know.

Athletics for youngsters

We are hoping to deliver a pilot athletics (run jump throw) programme in June and July, if you have a child who would be interested in participating can you let Dave Durden know with name and age ASAP. As it is a new programme and we have lots of new assistant coaches we are trying to keep numbers down (max ~30). Dave is liaising with the rugby club to offer some of their players to he opportunity to participate as well.

They started in the rain and they finished in it! After 12 weeks of perseverance and effort the Dursley Running Clubs inaugural Run Walk programme finished on Tuesday with an informal handicap run, with the 18 runners being challenged to complete a continuous run, over 1 mile for some and the majority completing the 1.6 mile loop around Sandpits, going the hard way ie the steep climbs!

Speed sessions

We are looking to restart our ‘Running slightly faster than normal’ (AKA speed) sessions at the Rugby Club, Thursday 6.50 for 7PM start, First session planned 1 May. NB as grass sessions are weather dependent. Will include warm up, strengthening exercises, work on form as well as speed. Idea is to give those summer road runners a helping hand in advance of Berkley 10K, Lloyds Fitness Run, Sandhurst 5K etc etc ... If you are interested please let Dave D know.
