1. “Running slightly faster than normal” (AKA speed) sessions started at the Rugby Club last week, Thursday 6.50 for 7PM start, NB as grass sessions are weather dependent.   Will include warm up, strengthening exercises, work on form as well as speed.  Idea is to give those summer road runners a helping hand in advance of Berkley 10K, Lloyds Fitness Run, Sandhurst 5K etc etc…

 

2. We are hoping to deliver a pilot athletics (run jump throw) programme in June and July, if you have a child who would be interested in participating can you let Dave Durden know with name and age ASAP. As it is a new programme and we have lots of new assistant coaches we are trying to keep no.s down max of around 30. Dave is liaising with the rugby club to offer some of their players to he opportunity to participate as well.
