The Leeson/Ashworth annual pilgrimage to Eastbourne provided Kieren Leeson with an impressive 23rd place in 01:23:54, although Keiran dropped down from his 15th position in 2011. James Baker from Chicester Runners AC won it for the second year in a row knocking over 2 minutes off last years time. Mike and Chris finished slightly further down the field.  1444 runners completed the event this year with thousands of pounds being raised for charity.

Four hardy souls from Dursley turned up to the Pilot Boxing Day 4 Miler and were part of an 80 strong field who wanted to blow their cobwebs away over Severn AC's testing course.

Cirencester 10K

Runners from Dursley and District delivered the goods at the Cirencester Park 10K on Sunday the 24th.

Alice Lewis continues to improve over 2011. After a great run at Tewkesbury AC's Guy Fawkes 5 she pushed her boundaries at 10K.  The sole Dursley entrant at CLC Striders Runway 10 Alice improved on her seasons 10K time finishing in just 50:19, knocking 6 minutes off her previous 10K outing at the Thornbury Festival and was rewarded with 3rd LV45. Alice was 70th overall in a field of 129 runners. Graeme Hawkins will be pleased to see his hero Martin Ford make the top 10, 1st MV60 of course, in 39:30


 With just 3 runners at the Carnival 7 mile road race, Dursley ladies took the biscuits courtesy of Severn AC coming in first ladies team and also heading up each of their respective categories, a great result for the ladies
